These fine fellows enjoyed breakfast together during a John de Ruiter retreat in Neve Shalom, Israeli in November 2012. From left to right: Erik, Eytan, Stuart, and Edgar.
What a wonderful time we had in the beautiful little community of Neve Shalom, which means “Oasis of Peace”. It’s a co-operative that was founded in 1969, to help promote peace and understanding between the Jewish Israeli people and Palestinians. I was told that the strength in the transformation can be largely attributed to the children that were born into the community. They are the ones nurturing the bond because, as one community member put it: “It’s all they know. It’s what they were born into, so it’s more natural for them.”
